Communities of practice have been established to share technical knowledge, expertise, and resources among organizations with a stake in scaling up evidence-based practices.
- One community of practice is to promote a common vision, common language, and common experiences among the State Transformation Specialists and members of the Implementation Teams in the four active scaling up States. This community of practice is chaired by Karen Blase and Melissa Van Dyke (SISEP).
- Another is a "State Readiness Community of Practice" being led by SISEP Center staff, RRC program staff, and OSEP staff that intends to convene States that are interested in actively preparing for scaling up at some future date. Co-Chairs for this community of practice are Melissa Van Dyke (SISEP) and Vicki Hornus (RRC Programs).

- A "workgroup" has formed to link SISEP staff, State Transformation Specialists, and Implementation Team members to facilitate the development of documents and tools useful across all four States. The workgroup is chaired by Melissa Van Dyke and Karen Blase (SISEP) with support from Michele Rovins (National Technical Assistance Coordination Center).
Additional communities of practice will form as the need arises.
Please contact Melissa Van Dyke for further information on any of the communities of practice (vandyke@mail.fpg.unc.edu).
