State Priorities

• Infuse methods, models and materials into Illinois community college curriculum for preparing personnel [e.g., faculty, preservice students, current practitioners in the field] to work with all young children, including children with disabilities in diverse community settings
• Enhance the ability of community colleges to offer ongoing professional development opportunities to address the needs of children with disabilities and their families
• Create an early childhood career lattice that ensures early childhood professionals at all levels have the knowledge and skills to meet the needs of young children with disabilities and their families
