Partner Programs Six birth-Kindergarten (B-K) programs have provided input and feedback on Crosswalks methods, measures and materials. These programs are indicated below in green. Campus and community partners in each community receive ongoing support from the Crosswalks project in the form of resources and professional development opportunities.

Experimental Programs Two Birth-Kindergarten (B-K) programs have been randomly assigned to the experimental group in Crosswalks research (see below in red). For additional information about the plans and progress in each of these communities, go to UNC Pembroke or Western Carolina University.

Control Programs Three Birth-Kindergarten (B-K) programs have been randomly assigned to the control group in Crosswalks research (see below in blue). Campus and community partners in these communities complete the same pre/post measures as the experimental group. Once data collection is complete, the control programs will participate in the same sequence of planning, training and resources as the experimental programs.
