Training Opportunities

Two types of professional development opportunities are available beginning Spring 2007:

New Voices~Nuevas Voces Institute

A three-day program filled with information and skill building in five content areas (modules) for early childhood professionals (Birth through Kindergarten), early interventionists, preschool special education teachers, therapists and other individuals involved in children’s early care and education. Each day consists of a variety of interactive sessions including lectures and hands-on activities to facilitate learning. Participants receive the New Voices~Nuevas Voces Handbook on Cultural and Linguistic Diversity in Early Childhood.

New Voices~Nuevas Voces Facilitators Workshop

A two-day program designed for individuals who want to be able to facilitate the New Voices~Nuevas Voces professional development program. Participants receive the New Voices~Nuevas Voces Handbook on Cultural and Linguistic Diversity in Early Childhood and the Facilitators Guide containing a CD-ROM with slide presentations, handouts and other resources to begin their own training. Individuals must participate in the three-day New Voices~Nuevas Voces Institute prior to attending the Facilitators Workshop.
