About NPDCI

Unique Features: Coordinate Existing Initiatives

The National Professional Development Center on Inclusion (NPDCI) will not duplicate or compete with other existing state or national professional development initiatives. NPDCI will identify, build on and link with existing coalitions and training initiatives at national and state levels and serve as the catalyst for helping these disparate efforts work in an efficient, coordinated fashion toward the shared goal of promoting quality personnel who serve young children in inclusive preschool settings. The project will assist states to integrate preservice, in-service and technical assistance efforts, which too often operate on parallel tracks. NPDCI's efforts will build on existing federal initiatives, projects and states' plans. The project also will pursue ongoing collaboration with higher education networks and national technical assistance networks.
