Melissa Van Dyke, MSW
Biography:
Melissa Van Dyke, LCSW, MSW, is the Director of Technical Assistance Services at the National Implementation Research Network (NIRN) located at UNC's FPG Child Development Institute. Melissa obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Oregon and a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan, with a focus on Interpersonal Practice and Policy.
Before joining the NIRN team, Melissa worked for twelve years in state government in New Mexico, working with families and youth in both the child welfare and the juvenile justice systems. Along with her years in direct service, Melissa worked in the areas of staff development (training) and administration (as Deputy Superintendent of a large juvenile correctional facility).
Melissa's current research interests include organizational change and system transformation, systems coaching, and complexity sciences. Her recent efforts include working with state and federal initiatives related to scaling up evidence-based practices in K-12 education, evidence-based early childhood programs, and leadership development in Child Welfare. She has also worked with community and state initiatives to transform mental health service systems.
