Administrative Core

The Administrative Core facilitates all aspects of the Director's activities pertinent to the EKSIDDRC and meets the administrative needs of the faculty, staff, and projects within the Center, including oversight of Center organization, planning and review, development, budget, and educational activities.

Core Functions

The primary objective of the Administrative Core of the NDRC is to facilitate all aspects of the Directors' activities pertinent to the NDRC, and to meet the administrative needs of the NDRC. This includes:

  • A service of the Administrative Core is to provide free videoconferencing capabilities to investigators. Our system, located in the second floor conference room at the Autism Center, has the ability to conference 3 remote sites with our location. To access this service, please contact Heather McCutchen to schedule the room.
  • Assistance in preparing and processing research grant and contract applications and related documents
  • Personnel recruitment and management
  • Purchases
  • Bookkeeping
  • Coordination of different laboratories and Core facilities,
  • Fiscal management, including responsibilities to the University, State, and other funding agencies
  • Interaction with other offices of the University and outside organizations

During the past five years the Administrative Core has taken a much more active role in promoting and facilitating new research initiatives, and integrating biomedical and behavioral research efforts. Our goal is to serve as a cross-campus force for the support of research on Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities.
