What is the scientific research support for Partners for Literacy?
Partners for Literacy is based on three major longitudinal research studies with young children as well as a large set of scientific data on early literacy, language, and social-emotional development. The Research section of this website provides information on the strong research base that supports the Partners for Literacy Curriculum.
Does the Partners for Literacy Curriculum meet guidelines for Early Reading First Programs?
Yes, the Partners for Literacy Curriculum aligns with the federal Early Reading First Program, addressing all the domains of early literacy (oral language, vocabulary, concepts of print, alphabet knowledge, and content knowledge) as well as social and emotional development.
Does the Partners for Literacy Curriculum meet different state guidelines or standards for preschool education?
We have found a strong match between the Partners for Literacy Curriculum and the preschool guidelines and standards for many states. Partners for Literacy also aligns with the School Reading goals of the National Education Goals 2000 and goals from the National Reading Panel.
Do you offer training on how to implement the Partners for Literacy Curriculum?
Yes, Partners for Literacy has skilled, experienced trainers who can provide on-site training and consultation at your early childhood facility as well as multi-day workshops for larger groups consisting of multiple schools and their staff. The on-site training, consultation, and workshops can be tailored to the needs of your program and can address early childhood education and/or parenting education.
Where can I buy the curriculum materials (LiteracyGames, LearningGames, teacher manuals, classroom materials)?
Much of the curriculum and its materials are in production and will be available for purchase soon. Several items are currently available in an examination/research format.
