Kansas
Statewide interagency early childhood group has been working on standards (0-5) since the summer of 2003. Some of the preliminary standards work completed supports the development of assessment indicators. Stakeholder group will review statistical information about indicators and model, and make decisions about the inclusion of indicators.

Transition indicators will build on the indicators previously developed through an earlier GSEG grant. 15 Indicators for Part C centered around: Childfind, IFSP completion, LRE, and transition. 24 Part B indicators: FAPE in LRE, personnel available to conduct and interpret evaluations, number of children receiving timely evaluations, and transition. 35 centered around NCLBA goals and five selected by the Career and Technical Education.
System will be linked to Maryland Model for School Readiness and the Voluntary Sate Curriculum (Pre-K through eight grade curriculum standards in English, mathematics, science and social studies.)
Review, revise and update current indicators and identify new outcome indicators to include in the data collection, verification and analysis system. Focus on examining the current indicators concerning IFSP based info. about achievement rates for child and family outcomes and ratting systems for family satisfaction with their IFSP and services. May subdivide child outcomes into developmental domains or other progress indicators.

Will align work with Systems of Care and Education and their data management team. Will collect baseline information from all ESS and preschool programs on current child and family outcome indicators, measurement practices, and use of data to inform decisions
The NH DHHS, Maternal and Child Health Program in collaboration with the NH Childrenšs Alliance ( NH Kids Count), are developing outcome indicators for early childhood health and development.
Brook Stebbins, MS, RN (Healthy Childcare America Project) is implementing 13 national early childhood outcome indicators related to health and safety.
The NH Child Development Bureau under the direction of Dr. Margaret Leitch-Copeland is developing Early Childhood Guidelines in collaboration with the Regional Resource Center in Newton, Mass.

NH DHHS - Completed a comprehensive Delphi survey and have put together their final report for needs for children with Chronic Health concerns and special needs. As a result, they are putting in place a strategic plan which will define outcome indicators for children with special healthcare needs, birth through 21.
Build on six NYS clinical practice guidelines on assessment and intervention with young children (autism/pdd, communication disorders, Down syndrome, motor disorders, vision impairment, hearing loss).
Part B standards will be aligned with Utah Kindergarten Core Curriculum.
