Provide training in use of revised database system -Oracle.
Training in new system and indicators.
Will develop and offer training courses in child development as a prerequisite for intensive training in the use of assessment tools. Develop training materials and train providers how to collect data and use them to improve programs for children and families (Pilot and revise).

Develop training materials to increase the capacity of Florida TA staff to train providers and program administrators how to collect data and use them to improve programs for children and families Training will be provided by the existing Regional Comprehensive System of Personal Development Professional Development Partnership. IFSP improvement will be handled by Susan Duwa. (Pilot and revise).

Provide training to enable KSDE and district staff to understand the outcome indicators for early childhood (3-5) , post-school, and suspension/ expulsion, as well as expectations for collection, methods for collecting, and appropriate use of instruments. Will also provide training for families to help them make sense of the data.
Provide secure training for staff on the assessment tool chosen and the appropriate data collection measures that can be used with assessment tool.
Train staff to modify instructional practices to reflect assessment data and how to link assessment to IEP/IFSP goals.
Provide assistance on how to develop, monitor and document IFSP/IEP goals via assessment info.
Help develop procedures for sharing info. with families.
Train staff to link assessment data with standards, and train all Part C PSC's and preschool personnel how data will be transferred and how to use it.
Train MDOE, CDS (Child Development Services), LEA, CTE (Career and Technical Education) personnel on the new Idea Part B and C indicators.
(Monitoring staff responsible for this process will undergo initial eight week training, and ongoing weekly training to address questions that arise.)
Will develop and pilot online professional development that includes preschool outcomes, indicators, and measures, and technical integration into the Online IEP. The professional development module will guide teachers in the use of technical resources and tools to construct meaningful IEP goals and objectives based on the indicators.
Develop mechanisms for providing technical assistance to LEAs and lead agencies. Maryland Special Education Leadership Forum and online Electronic Learning Community will provide ongoing instructional and technical support. Also, the professional development on the implementation of these outcomes will be incorporated in to MSDE's upcoming Early Intervention Leadership Academy.
Training for Part C staff entering and reporting data on the revised system and the DDP staff responsible for verifying the data.
Strengthen capacity of EI training and TA founded on research-based practices.
Training for newly hired FSSs to improve performance: 1. on early childhood assessments and family information gathering techniques 2. on interventions for young children with challenging behaviors. Will include ongoing mentoring by senior FSSs
Will develop a web-based system as a resource for EI research based practices for FSSs who need to strengthen skills.
Training for families EI/ECSE and before/after school providers will be developed and piloted in the areas of : positive behavior supports, family involvement, and data collection and analysis, improvement planning, and program evaluation.
Develop statewide plan and training materials to train Part C providers.

Train Local Lead Agencies in data collection and analysis protocols. ODU (Old Dominion University) will oversee the development of live web-based training sessions and tutorial CD-ROM, and provide ongoing targeted training and technical assistance. A family-focused training package will be developed by ODU.
