Standards will flow sequentially among age groups to ensure consistent measurement.

Arkansas

Increase collaboration and coordination across services to ensure smooth implementation of outcome based system for children and families. Integrate database system to facilitate coordination between programs.

Use common Measures. Link data across B and C. Longitudinal data such as: Exit and reentrance to Part C, receipt of 619 services, percentage of children with IEPs, and Colorado State Assessment Program.

Creating process for electronic sharing of data between two systems so students can be tracked longitudinally.

Maine

Already has database which links Part B and Part C.

Developing continuous outcome indicators across B and C.

New York

Will share information to assess developmental and functional gains achieved through EI and Preschool special education, and the impact of EI services on the need for later special education and related services. In Phase II contractor will recommend possible methods for linking system with other data sets (State and national).

Will establish and test system outcome indicators to track children from Part C to Part B and document reasons for types of services or lack of services provided.

Virginia

Formulate a universal set of outcomes and indicators for children 0-3 and ensure alignment with the outcome indicators of the DOE preschool (619) program.
