Trends in the Child Outcomes Data - Conference Call
Thursday, June 5, at 3:30 ET, ECO and NECTAC will be hosting a 1 hour conference call to share observations regarding "Trends in the Child Outcomes Data". The call will address: What patterns were seen in the state reported progress data (Indicators C3 and B7)? What were some common signs of possible data concerns? What can states look for to see how their data compares to national trends? The presentation for the call is located below.

2008 ECO Advisory Board Meeting
January 10-11, 2008, Washington, DC. The ECO Center hosted a meeting of the ECO Advisory Board. The information presented included updates of the major developments and activities related to the collection of child and family outcome data since the ECO Center was founded, the current state of federal requirements, insights on how the effort to build a national data collection system for child and family outcomes is progressing in states, as well as a discussion of areas of needs, and the ECO Center's plan for the future. Aditionally, a the ECO Center led a discussion regarding how best to reduce the 5 OSEP category numbers to one or more target numbers so they appropriate represent the outcomes achieved by children in Part C and 619.

2007 OSEP National Early Childhood Conference
December 3-5, 2007, The Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) hosted the National Early Childhood Conference in Arlington, VA. Additionally, a pre-conference workshop hosted by the ECO Center was offered on Saturday, December 1. Materials from the meeting and workshop can be accessed through the link below.
Conference Call On Responding to the Child Outcome Indicators (C3 and B7) for the February, 08 SPP/APRs
Tuesday, October 30, from 3:00 to 5:00 EDT,
ECO and OSEP held a conference call to offer and explain a suggested format for providing Indicators C3 and B7 "progress data" and discuss examples of revised SPPs with hypothetical outcomes "progress data" included. The materials for the call are provided below.

Early Childhood Outcomes Conference: Measuring Child and Family Outcomes
August 26 -28, 2007, Baltimore, MD. NECTAC and the ECO Center hosted a three day conference to support the Part C and Part B, Section 619 staff in their work collecting, reporting, and using outcome data. Following the conference, OSEP held the 619 Coordinators Meeting on August 28, and the Part C Coordinators Meeting August 28-30. Materials from the meeting can be accessed through the link below.

ECO Conference Call Series: Child Outcomes

ECO Advisory Board Meeting
January 11-12, 2007, Washington, DC. The ECO Center hosted a meeting of the ECO Advisory board to update members on national and state efforts regarding child and family outcomes measurement systems. The information presented included updates of: ECO's technical assistance work, state activities, COSF training, research on child outcomes measurement and the Child Outcomes Summary Form, and ECO Family Outcomes Survey activities and data collection.

NECTAC National TA Meeting: Measuring Child and Family Outcomes
April 25-27, 2006, Albuquerque, NM. This working TA meeting was sponsored by NECTAC in collaboration with: The Early Childhood Outcomes (ECO) Center, the RRCs, and the OSEP Data Community of Practice. Its purpose was to provide opportunities for participants to learn about other states' strategies for measuring child and family outcomes, hear the latest guidance from the Early Childhood Outcome Center and OSEP, discuss common challenges and successful practices, and plan next steps for their state.

Child Outcomes TA Think Tank
August 29-30, NECTAC hosted a discussion with a small group of individuals with various perspectives (OSEP, GSEG consultants, GSEG state staff, National TA providers) on the topic of measuring early childhood outcomes. The purpose of the discussion was to share experiences, and exchange information and ideas that could later be summarized and used to support other states working on developing an outcomes measurement system.
Early Childhood Outcomes TA Meeting: Developing a State Outcome Measurement System
April 18-20, 2005, Salt Lake City, UT. This was a working TA meeting sponsored by NECTAC in collaboration with The Early Childhood Outcomes (ECO) Center, and the OSEP Data Community of Practice. Through plenary sessions and presentations states were provided a planning framework for addressing the issues involved in developing state outcome systems, as well as information about issues and challenges which may arise, and various approaches to developing and implementing an outcome system. They were then able to utilize information from the meeting, during assisted work sessions, to plan with their state team and make progress in their current outcome efforts.
