Revision complete, ITERS-R published The authors of the ITERS are pleased to announce publication of this thorough revision, incorporating the latest research, comparisons with other assessment instruments and guidelines, and feedback from years of intensive use of the original ITERS. Valuable ideas came from colleagues in the U.S., Canada and Europe, and from the experiences of two of the ITERS co-authors and some 25 trained assessors who used the ITERS for more than two years as part of North Carolina's five-star licensing for child care centers. The recommendations of a focus group were incorporated throughout the ITERS-R to make the new scale more inclusive and culturally sensitive.
