Mary Ruth Coleman, Ph.D. ---Co-Principal Investigator
Mary Ruth Coleman, Ph.D. (Project Evaluator) has over 15 years of experience with program evaluation. She has worked with distance learning, personnel preparation, and the provision of technical assistance to support change. Dr. Coleman has been the PI and/or expert evaluator on numerous projects including Project CONTACT.

Debra Torrence, Ed.M. ---Co-Principal Investigator, formerly of FPG
Debra Torrence, Ed.M. (Co-Principal Investigator) brings 16 years of experience and expertise in the area of professional development for early childhood educators and faculty at the state, national and international level. During the past five years her work at FPG has focused on increasing access to higher education by removing the barriers to education faced by low resource populations. Currently she is Co-PI of three distance learning efforts that seek to study the presence of distance learning networks as systems that support increased access to education.
Ms. Torrence was the Co-Investigator of Project CONTACT, a project that created a high-quality distance learning course design and support model for the development and delivery of early childhood distance learning community college courses. Her expertise includes early childhood professional development systems, economics of child care and teacher preparation.
