Infants and Toddlers Synthesis Conference
This conference has concluded.
In 1997, NCEDL hosted a synthesis conference on the topic of Infant and Toddler Quality Care at UNC-Chapel Hill. Co-chairs were Thelma Harms and Debby Cryer.
The conference examined issues related to infant and toddler development, ecological perspectives on center and home-based infant and toddler care and quality dimensions of early care and intervention programs. Over 35 invited researchers, child care administrators, policy makers, and parents attended the conference. They participated in small group discussions to synthesize research and clinical findings and discuss the implications for policy, practice and further research. Additional researchers and constituents synthesized the implications for policy, practice, research and personnel preparation.
