Description:
Many of the resources and teaching activities in this guide were initially developed for AOTA's continuing education workshops on family-centered care which were held at 20 sites across the country in 1990-91. During this time, the Pediatric Curriculum Committee of AOTA's Commission on Education wrote guidelines for occupational therapy professional preparation programs in order to prepare practitioners to work with children and their families.
