Noreen Yazejian, Ph.D., is an investigator at the FPG Child Development Institute at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Yazejian’s research focuses on early childhood program evaluation, including work related to professional development interventions, models of programming birth to five, quality rating and improvement systems, and early childhood language and literacy.
Yazejian serves as principal investigator (PI) on the Quality Counts evaluation, examining processes and outcomes of Miami-Dade County’s quality rating and improvement system (QRIS). She is also PI of a large-scale evaluation of the Bounce Learning Network, a consortium of 8 Educare centers across the country. She is PI of Evaluation of Project CLICK: Cradling Literacy in Children in Kentucky, a professional development initiative for preschool teachers in southeastern Kentucky designed to improve language and literacy and social-emotional practices and children’s outcomes. Finally, she is Co-PI of an evaluation of a curriculum for home visitors, Partners for a Healthy Baby, studying implementation and outcomes in an Early Head Start population.
