Parents Go Online to Understand Genetic Diagnoses

Proactive parents of children with genetic disorders access the Internet for information about conditions, prognoses, and treatments. They become highly knowledgeable and strong advocates for their children. To communicate effectively with these parents, early interventionists need to know more about basic genetics, genetic counseling, supports, and therapies.
