The National Professional Development Center on Inclusion (NPDCI) works with states to create a system of high quality, cross-agency, accessible professional development for early childhood personnel. While NPDCI will serve as a resource to all states, the center will select eight states for more intense collaboration.

The National Professional Development Center on Inclusion (NPDCI ) collaborated with the Office of Special Education Programs of the U.S. Department of Education, the Child Care Bureau and the Office of Head Start to design and implement a fair and equitable selection process.

Four states were selected in 2007 (Cohort 1: Georgia, Minnesota, Oregon, and Pennsylvania.) Four new, additional states will be selected in 2008 (Cohort 2: application deadline has concluded).
